A Teacher is a beacon that lights the path of a Child

We celebrate the birthday of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President and Vice-President and great statesman, as "Teachers' Day". Born on September 5, 1888, at Tiruttani, Radhakrishnan grew to become the most famous Indian teacher and philosopher of all times.

Teachers mould the lives of their students and make make them into responsible citizens. Lessons learned from teachers remain with their students throughout life. Teachers break down barriers and reach into the souls of the students that they are responsible for but often do not get the recognition or gratitude they rightly deserve.

Today lets acknowledge the immense contribution our teachers made in making us what we are today. You may want to pay a tribute to a teacher who changed your life, by leaving a comment below.
